Ms. Tenace, started ITALIAN-AMERICAN Language Services in 1994.
She has been a professional Italian <-> English linguist for over 15 years and boasts a diverse and exciting career in the field, with Italian interpreting and translation assignments ranging from national to international projects in the business, legal and literary arenas.
She is sought out by clients in the US and Italy. She is regularly hired to interpret at legal depositions, trials. She is certified by the State of Connecticut Judicial Department as a Court Interpreter. Ms. Tenace was the lead interpreter in a recent 6 million dollars award civil case.
Ms. Tenace's language background began early in life.
She is native Italian, educated both in Italy and the United States. She is bilingual and bicultural and dual citizen of Italy and the United States. She was raised in Italy for the first sixteen years of her life, thereafter her parents brought her to the United States where she completed first, her High School education and then the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with a degree in Italian-French Language and Literature and a Certificate in Professional Translation followed by a merit internship at the International Department of Mellon Bank. She enjoyed the unique opportunity to practice her knowledge of languages during her ten year tenure as a Flight Attendant with a major international airline.
Ms. Tenace resides in Connecticut, and she travels to Italy several times a year both for business and pleasure.
Some of her preferred vacation spots in Italy are: the island of Ischia, the Gargano peninsula, especially Vieste and Peschici, and the Tremiti islands.
